Our parent company, The Aleut Corporation, was one of the original 12 regional Alaska Native Corporations (ANC) established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA), passed by Congress in 1971.
Through its subsidiaries, partnerships, and foundation, The Aleut Corporation provides employment, internship, scholarship, and training opportunities, as well as social efforts, to over 4,200 shareholders and employs more than 1,250 individuals worldwide. Currently, the business is operated in 31 states and 2 U.S. territories. Claim Categories
When contracting with our 8(a) companies, you can claim the following categories in your small business contracting plan:
- Small Business
- Native American/Tribal
- 8(a) Economically disadvantaged

Subcontracting Rebate
If a contract includes either of the following clauses, you are eligible to apply for a 5% subcontracting rebate under the Indian Incentive Program:
- 48 CFR 52.226-1 – Utilization of Indian Organizations and Indian-Owned Economic Enterprise
- DFAR 252.226-7001 – DoD Indian Incentive Program
Sole-Source Contracts
In addition to the subcontracting rebate and claim categories you could utilize partnering with us, there is also the ability to sole-source contracts.
- Up to $25M without justification (48 CFR 19.808-1)
- DoD up to $100M without justification (48 CFR 206)
- 8(a) sole sourced awards cannot be protested (13 CFR 124.517(a))
