Aleut Federal announced today that Cheryl (née Walker) Waldrup has been appointed to the company’s executive leadership team as its next Chief Growth Officer (CGO). Waldrup will lead the enterprises’ business development, marketing, and strategic growth initiatives.
With more than 20 years of increasing responsibility in Federal sales and marketing, Waldrup brings an impressive blend of marketing, brand management, partnership, and strategy experience to her role as CGO. She joins Aleut Federal from Strongbridge, LLC, a fast-growing, leading integrator and developer of technologies for federal agencies. Since 2000, she has served in executive roles such as Chief Marketing Officer, Vice President of Federal Capture, and Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at leading tech companies, including, among others, Daon Biometrics, General Dynamics Information (GDIT), and American Systems Corporation.
“Cheryl is an absolute pro in the government services market. It’s a slam dunk for us, and we couldn’t be happier to have her join our team. In addition to her leadership skills and expertise in capturing, bidding, and winning work, Cheryl has a demonstrated history of building strong ties between Government decision-makers and contractors,” said Nick Trzcinski, Aleut Federal’s COO. “Her significant industry knowledge, a broad range of experience, and proven track record building consistent organizational growth are precisely what we need to raise our profile and realize Aleut Federal’s full potential.”
“The opportunity to work for a company that is committed to preserving Unangax heritage and providing education and social benefits to the people of the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands takes ‘giving back’ to a whole new level,” says Waldrup. “Through the combined capabilities of our service groups (technology, environmental, infrastructure, and construction) we can deliver immense value to the Federal government across defense, intel, and civilian agencies, without exception. Our growth, and that of the shareholders we support, will come from stimulating of our client’s growth. At the end of the day, it’s that commitment to customer service that drew me to Aleut Federal.”
Waldrup’s philosophy centers around building rapport – earning the trust of clients by providing reliable services at a fair price, conducting business honorably, and keeping promises. “People do business with people they know, like, and trust, and government clients are no exception,” Waldrup says. “There is no substitute for integrity. I learned that at an early age from my parents, and it’s still true today.”
