Port Allen, La. – ARS Aleut Analytical, LLC (Aleut), a Small Business Administration (SBA) certified Small Disadvantaged Business, is pleased to announce a new Mentor-Protégé Agreement (MPA) with Eurofins through the SBA Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) under NAICS code 541380, Testing Laboratories.

Aleut, a subsidiary of Alaska Native Corporation, Aleut Federal, provides full-service laboratory capabilities, including radiochemistry, standard chemistry, industrial hygiene, and other specialty services. Its primary laboratory in Port Allen, Louisiana has the capability to set up mobile sample management offices and mobile labs to support client projects directly on site.

“We look forward to pairing our Small Business, Alaska Native values with the strength of Eurofins nationwide presence and sample volume capacities,” said Darrin Lawrence, Vice President – Environmental Services Group for Aleut Federal. “Through our MPA, Aleut can provide a wider range of analytical capabilities and surge capacity, while simultaneously strengthening and expanding the available options of our mobile laboratories.”

Eurofins is a recognized leader in environmental testing in the United States providing Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DoD), and commercial clients with innovative technical expertise and comprehensive routine environmental testing services. Within the MPA, Eurofins will mentor Aleut in its business development endeavors, by providing management, technical, contracting, business development, and general/administrative support.

Brian Williams, Group Executive VP – Eurofins, said, “Eurofins understands the importance of small businesses and connections to the community, local career opportunities, and the economy at large. By entering into the SBA’s Mentor-Protégé Program, Eurofins businesses are excited to support Aleut in growing both their expertise and ability to serve Federal government customers whilst also assisting prime contractors in realizing their project objectives.”

The SBA MPP allows eligible small businesses (protégés) to receive valuable business development assistance, increase capacity, and win Federal contracts through relationships with more mature companies (mentors). Protégés can draw on the resources and experience of the larger, more established firm who in turn may pursue any contract set-aside for which the protégé qualifies such as 8(a) small disadvantaged business and HUBZone.

“We are thrilled to offer customers the benefits of Aleut/Eurofins’ combined capabilities,” said Lawrence.
