Aleut Awarded Contract to Provide Cadet Support Services for the U.S. Air Force Academy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Aleut Logistics Services, LLC (Aleut) announced today that it was awarded a contract to provide cadet support services for the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The contract has a potential duration of up to five years, including a one-year base period and four one-year options, with the base year’s period of performance beginning October 13th, 2022.

“Aleut is enormously pleased to continue its long-standing support of USAFA whose indispensable mission is to develop the world’s finest military officers into leaders” said Stephen Watkins, Vice President of Aleut Federal’s Infrastructure Services Group.

USAFA and its two geographically separate sites have over 6.8 million square feet of facilities, with a daytime workforce of approximately 8,700 military, civilian, cadet, and contract employees.

Based in Colorado Springs, Aleut will provide Facility Support and Management Services, in addition to Event Support & Management for the Academy, which graduates approximately 1,000 USAF officers annually, from a cadet wing of nearly 4,400. USAFA’s mission is to educate, train, and inspire these young people to become officers and leaders in the U.S. Air Force.

In addition to Facility Support and Management, Aleut will provide support for USAFA’s Cadet Wing, Athletic Department, Visitor’s Center, Dean of Faculty, and Preparatory School through the Academy’s Directorate of Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection and the 10th Contracting Squadron.
