Colorado Springs, Colo. Aleut Information Technology, LLC (Aleut), a leading technology firm in the 8(a) sector, recently received the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Contract. This 18-month contract, carrying a total contract value of $7.5 Million, builds upon Aleut’s 3-year exceptional performance with USAFA.

A subsidiary of Alaska Native-owned enterprise, Aleut Federal, LLC, Aleut Information Technology, LLC, is a Small Business Administration certified 8(a) program participant and Small Disadvantaged Business who has served the USAFA since 2018.

Aleut provides professional, scientific, engineering, and technical services as well as studies, analyses, and evaluations to various USAFA organizations directly supporting the academics of more than 4,000 cadets, plus faculty and staff. This contract follows Aleut’s successful execution of a 3-year, $13.5 Million A&AS Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), increasing Aleut’s total award ceiling to $21 Million. To-date, there have been 55 task orders awarded under the two A&AS IDIQs in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“Aleut has a long-standing relationship with the U.S. Air Force Academy,” said Geoff Vaughan, Vice President of Aleut Federal’s Technology Services Group. “We are grateful for the continued opportunity to provide the Department of Defense mission-enabling technology services.”

Under the USAFA A&AS award, Aleut will expand upon its continuous support efforts to span a breadth of capabilities including technical support for The Center of Space Situational Awareness (CSSAR), CyberWorx, AeroLab hypersonic flight test research, controls system/telemetry development, and flight simulator and wind tunnel operations, USAFA enterprise Power Platform system architecture, Mechanical Engineering classroom instruction and machining, Military Strategic Studies classroom instruction, Student Information System (SIS) implementation, and the Center for Aircraft Structural Life Extension (CAStLE) project management, among others.

“Our efforts to increase efficiencies and maximize accessibility are directly impacting the next generation of America’s armed forces,” said Vaughan. “This contract offers new opportunities for Aleut to solve problems and improve the educational experience of both cadets and educators.”
