Demolition
Aleut has extensive experience in building decontamination, dismantlement, and demolition, including facilities contaminated with hazardous or radiological contaminants and unexploded ordinance. We provide qualified personnel and teams to safely and securely remove equipment and other materials and decontaminate and demolish a wide range of facilities.
Project Highlight
SIPI Super Design-Build
Aleut performed construction, maintenance, and alteration of facilities at the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) in Albuquerque, NM. This Design-Build project spanned ten buildings on the SIPI campus, with square footage ranging from 1,680 to 57,777 square feet. Aleut's responsibilities included developing a design team, defining subcontractor and vendor scopes, and executing phased renovations in occupied building. Key tasks involved replacing carpeting with luxury vinyl plank flooring, repairing structural concrete beams, and installing new EDPM roofing. The project also required removing and replacing a complete HVAC system, re-wiring two dormitory buildings, and installing new LED and emergency lighting. Additional work included designing and installing ADA modifications, replacing interior ceilings, replacing kitchen equipment, and coordinating daily with campus management. Grounds work involved installing a polyurethane basketball surface, replacing 6,000 linear feet of industrial chain link fence, and conducting a campus-wide asbestos inspection. This project highlights Aleut's ability to manage large-scale, multifaceted construction projects while maintaining quality and coordination with customer operations.
