Aleut provides professional support services for federal real property, focusing on operations, maintenance, and repair. Their capabilities include maintenance of elevators, HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, fire alarm/fire suppression systems, and more. They also offer facilities management solutions, such as staffing and consulting services.
Bob Caviness has over 30 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense in operations, logistics, facility maintenance, and base support services. As an Army officer and civilian Program Manager, he has led organizations as large as 2,500 personnel, supporting both CONUS and OCONUS critical military missions.
Bob most recently served as the Program Manager for the Fort Belvoir Base Operations Support program, leading Aleut’s largest and most complex contract. He previously served as a Program Director for STS International managing a portfolio of programs supporting base operations, security, and rapid equipment fielding at multiple overseas locations. Prior to STS, he was the Program Manager for the Fort Polk and JRTC Logistics Readiness Center with over 740 personnel supporting military training rotations at the Joint Readiness Training Center. Other experiences include serving as the Program Manager for the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) in Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he managed over 2,500 personnel providing full-scope life support to deployed military in a combat zone on a $250 million per year task order.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Arts degree in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University. He is PMP certified through the Project Management Institute and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
